Elevator Shaft Tilt-Up Precast Panel Repair with Carbon Fiber

Despite careful planing, construction errors can at times occur and present new challenges for structural repair contractors. In the case of this precast tilt-up elevator shaft there was interference with elevator equipment that needed to be installed.

A portion of the tilt up panels used to construct the elevator shaft on this new construction project had to be removed. In order to provide clearance for the equipment, the surface of the concrete and the #4 bands that ran horizontally in the panel had to be removed
