Carbon Fiber Sea Wall Strengthening

Camano Island sea wall showing storm damage compared to restored wall after carbon fiber reinforcement installation.

This project highlights SRS’s carbon fiber strengthening solution for a deteriorating residential sea wall on Camano Island, Washington. Years of tidal action, storm surges, and marine exposure had caused cracking, joint failures, and section loss throughout the concrete structure. Working alongside R&R Foundation Specialists, SRS developed a reinforcement plan using SRS-660BI for crack confinement and SRS-600UNI for global strengthening, complemented by a marine-grade epoxy/kevlar coating to protect against long-term UV and saltwater exposure. The final installation restored structural integrity, improved durability, and ensured long-term protection for the waterfront property.
