Carbon Fiber Hurricane Damage Strengthening – Outer Banks, NC

This project showcases how SRS restored the structural capacity of a hurricane-damaged coastal building in North Carolina’s Outer Banks using carbon fiber reinforcement. After severe storm surge and high-wind damage compromised bond beams, columns, and masonry walls, SRS engineered a full carbon fiber strengthening solution to stabilize the structure, increase flexural and shear strength, and mitigate future hurricane-related deterioration.
